Managing money for others?
We handle the banks.

Ampersand works with administrators, custodians and fiduciaries who hold funds on behalf of their clients — so you can offer broader protection, competitive yield and clear reporting without negotiating with a single bank.

Who we work with

Built for funds
held on behalf of others.

When the money isn’t yours, the bar for protection, liquidity and documentation is higher. Select a use case.

How it works for administrators

One relationship.
Hundreds of insured banks.

You keep the client relationship, your existing workflows — and your existing bank. Ampersand, as administrator, handles placement, monitoring and recordkeeping across the network.

01

Open one program account

One agreement covers your funds. No separate account opening, KYC packages or rate negotiations with each bank.

02

Fund as balances arrive

Send settlement proceeds, contributions, premiums or payroll funds as they come in — from your existing operating bank.

03

We place & monitor

Funds are broken into whatever increments are needed for coverage and rate, titled to support pass-through insurance for your beneficial owners.

04

Report & disburse

One portal and one statement for your team — with the detail you need to report to your clients and auditors. Withdrawals settle to your operating bank.

Transparency for your clients

Show your clients
exactly where their money is.

Consolidated reporting shows balances, institutions, insured coverage and interest — organized the way you report to plan sponsors, courts, trustees and account holders.

  • Balances and coverage by institution, as of any date
  • Sub-accounting by client, plan, fund or matter
  • Monthly statements and year-end 1099-INT
  • Audit-ready records supporting pass-through coverage
  • SOC 2 Type II examined controls
No bank negotiations

Stop managing
banks. Manage clients.

Spreading large balances across banks yourself means dozens of account openings, rate conversations, collateral agreements and reconciliations. Ampersand does that work through one program.

Ampersand, Inc. is not a bank or depository institution and does not provide legal, tax or fiduciary advice. Ampersand acts as administrator in placing deposits at FDIC- or NCUA-insured banks or credit unions within the Ampersand partner network. Pass-through deposit insurance for funds held on behalf of others is available only when FDIC or NCUA recordkeeping and ownership requirements are met, including accurate records of each beneficial owner’s interest; administrators remain responsible for maintaining required records of their clients’ interests. Eligibility of specific fund types (for example HSA, IRA, EB-5 escrow, qualified settlement or trust funds) depends on applicable law, plan documents and program terms. Coverage above standard limits depends on the number of participating institutions. Rates, terms and access to funds may change and are not guaranteed. Full disclosures →
